Artist Statement
This piece includes the full spectrum of colors, showing Transitions from
one color to the next and from energy into growth.
Techniques & Materials
I placed many small raw-edged pieces of cotton in a rainbow of colors on a
fusible interfacing foundation, arranging the colors to flow across the piece.
The black was placed on top and appliqued by machine with finished edges.
The close quilting holds the colored pieces in place while still allowing
them to create the texture in the piece.
