Artist Statement
As I am known to some as "Queen of Murk", it was a personal challenge
to use clear primary colors in this quilt. Generally my definition of color
is rather fluid and I am often unable to control which fabrics leap off the
shelf and into the quilt.
This is a sweet reminder of my daughter who spends much of her time in Romania and who, by forceful e-mails, encouraged me to persevere with this project.
Techniques & Materials
Machine piecing, paper piecing, hand quilting. Most likely all cotton (although
one fabric is kind of suspicious).
