We have exciting news...

Someone many of you know has been invited back to help us take Quiltfest 2008 to the Washington State Convention and Trade Center.  We are thrilled to announce that

Jill Christenson has come back as Executive Director to be part of the team producing the Pacific Northwest's premier quilting event.

"I am SO excited to be working with APNQ again!  From the efforts of the first board and the 1994 show, to the amazing women of the 2008 Quiltfest Board, a firm foundation and an impeccable reputation have been built.  It is wonderful to have the opportunity to come back and be involved with this organization.  I look forward to reconnecting with each of you."

Warm regards,

Jill Christenson

Executive Director

About APNQ's e-mail newsletter:

Come with us into cyberspace as we launch the first of our electronic updates.  By communicating with you via e-mail, we can keep you informed of what's going on with Quiltfest and the Association on a timely basis. A paper newsletter takes many weeks to bring to your mailbox, and the "news" is at least partly stale by the time it arrives.  By using e-mail we can be in touch with our members more frequently.

Come, and Stay for the Complete Seattle Experience

Quiltfest 2008 will be held at the
Washington State Convention and Trade Center.

Quiltfest 2008 will be held at a wonderful new location. The Washington State Convention and Trade Center in downtown Seattle provides a larger space for more juried quilts, more special exhibit quilts, more vendors, more lectures, and for the first time at Quiltfest, workshops!  A benefit  APNQ membership is priority registration to all lectures and workshops. Our faculty includes names you'll recognize like Diane Gaudynski, Anita Shackleford, Yvonne Porcella and many others.

Make sure your membership is current and encourage your friends to join too as the workshops are sure to sell out. APNQ

Seattle is famous around the world for many things: it's beautiful city, water and mountain views, the historic Pike Place Market and the Space Needle. The greater Seattle area is home to some famous high-tech corporations, hundreds of coffee stands and numerous quilt shops. What does hearing "Seattle" make you think of? Whatever it is, plan to stay a night or two downtown enjoying the Emerald City. 2008 will feature more evening events; plan now to make Quiltfest more than a day trip.

APNQ is negotiating special rates at hotels located less than 100 paces from Quiltfest. A block or two the other direction will put you in the heart of downtown shopping, dining, theatre, and many other tourist attractions. More details coming soon.
