This is the result of a small group challenge. I started with a collection of Cherrywood fabrics and inspiration from a pattern, and let it evolve. Machine quilting with silk thread was a new and fun challenge for me. 51" x 51"

The multiple layers and colors of the design relate well to each other. This piece embodies both pieced and applique techniques that are superbly carried out and support the design. The attention to detail shown in the quilting designs demonstrates a high degree of excellence.
